Re: Why do comeback routes keep turning into streaks?

I noticed this issue for the first time yesterday. There are 3 specific plays that I use frequently where the receiver on the far right is supposed to run a comeback but he instead runs a streak every time.

He runs a streak even when I pass it to someone else.

This has happened to me also, at least 20 times since I bought the game. It sucks not knowing what route your receiver is running.

Change your gameplan to conservative on the one that tells how receivers run their routes. You may have it on aggressive and they are just bolting every time. If it doesn't change, it's wrong period. If their response changes, it's your gameplan.

This has been happening to me as well. I thought I might have picked the wrong play the few times it's happened to me. It throws me off and I usually get sacked.

When you're expecting them to comeback on a 3rd down play and they keep running even thought the comeback would be wide open, it's really annoying.

Re: Why do comeback routes keep turning into streaks?

I seen this happen dozens of times. game plan be on default, ball thrown well after the route SUPPOSE to have been over. The WR simply keeps going, while the DB stops in the pattern the WR SUPPOSE to have run.

It is the same thing with LBs and Nickel Backs BLITZING ON THEIR OWN. I can be in nickel 2 man coverage and a Linebacker or the Nickel Back sometimes will just Blitz on their own, leaving the guy they suppose to be covering in man WIDE OPEN.

So spare me the game planning stuff. I don't ever touch game planning.

I was practicing yesterday as I have been terrible reading defenses in this years game. I started with just simple curl flat. The split running the curl would run to 12 yards instead of 7-8. I figured maybe it was that receiver is just a bad route runner, so I flipped the play. Same thing happened.

Re: Why do comeback routes keep turning into streaks?

The only thing I can think of is that the WR is trying to beat the coverage, but half the time he doesn't. This happens in cover 2, cover 3, cover 4, man, or anytime. I could understand if the streak/fade route was open, but most times its not.
