Can't Advance to Championships

Hey. So I just played through my first season in dynasty mode using Northern Illionois University, had a really good recruiting year and finished 7-5 with a B+ Schedule Strength. But I'm running into a problem and I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this problem yet and knows how to get past it.

Basically I'm in Week 15, which is a Bye Week for me. I have 0 hours and 0 minutes left in recruiting time and obviously, as I said, I'm in a bye week, so I have no games left to play. When I try to advance to the Conference Championships, it sims for about 2 seconds and then stops simming and goes back to Week 15.

How can I advance into the Conference Championships??

i had that prob with stanford in my first year. not sure how to fix. i just started all over

I had the same problem with my UL Lafayette dynasty. It seems to be a fairly common bug. Nice work EA. Does anyone know if there's a common denominator for which teams fail. I'd like to try a new dynasty since it seems like EA isn't announcing a patch, but I don't want to play through an entire season only to not be able to advance to year 2 or even play my bowl game.
