Yes. This is South Carolina's playbook. There's only two plays out of this formation. One is a dual WR screen and the other is a HB draw.

I consider all of the Wildcat plays to be trick plays.

There are also End Arounds in a few playbooks. I believe it's out of an Ace set, the WR goes in motion then he comes around near the HB as the ball is snapped. In some of these plays, he gets the ball, in some it's a fake to him and the HB gets the ball, and in some, I believe, it's a play action fake to him.

I'm pretty sure either Tulane or Syracuse (or both) have these plays.

The formation is called Emory Henry. It's listed under the custom playbooks.

Also, you can always do a formation sub on Max Protect Punt and put your QB at punter, and run the max protect fake punt pass play.

Do these plays actually work? I've got Half-back Pass and several reverses in my PB but I'm too afraid to try them.

Boise State wasn't afraid to try the Hook N' Ladder, HB Pass, and Statue of Liberty all in one game... Just saying...

If you use Hawaii's playbook it has a goal line formation with a single back and two receivers.

Now that's interesting...

As for whether or not they work... with practice you can get most of the Wildcat formation working. Flea Flicker works. Or can work. You know when it works because there's 6 more points on the scoreboard...

HB pass... eh... I don't have a passing HB, so I'm not going to try it... maybe one season I'll recruit a shorter, stockier QB and change him to HB in year one so that maybe by his senior season he'd be the best Wildcat back ever... who will also do the HB pass...

It almost always nets me a first down... Then again, I use it about once every 5or6 games...

It's best in short yardage situations.
