Anyone sub in defensive players on offense?

My WR unit lacks speed. The speediest receiver has a speed rating of 87. I have a safety with a speed of 97; would like to sub him in on deep routes. Anyone experiment with this?

Well the safety probably lacks in catching, WR awareness, and route running which wouldn't help your cause. But no I have yet to try that this year.

Re: Anyone sub in defensive players on offense?

in '09 i used Mt Cody (Bama) as a fullback
last year i didn't move anyone to the other side
this year, just for kicks i have used Dre Kirkpatrick (also Bama, #21 Cb)
on jet sweeps, as he is rated fastest on the Tide

i created a heavily slanted run playbook & in the future i plan on movin'
Bama's freshman Marvin Shinn as an option QB, because of his 88 speed, 70 throwin' power, & 70 throwin' accuracy
(currently he is a wr, #85, i assume he was a QB in high school)
*goes to check*

On the Bowling Green squad there is a ROLB named Deejay White that can play HB as well. Like, he's a 59 OVR ROLB, and a 64 OVR HB (that was in year 2 of my dynasty, in year 3 I just developed him as a HB and got him to 77). He's really cool.

In my cupcake teambuilder dynasty, I moved one of my cornerbacks to running back in the second season. He was a 68 CB and a 71 HB.

I moved my #7 WR to be my #2 CB as well.

Re: Anyone sub in defensive players on offense?

I actually do the opposite of what you are saying. In year 2 of my Cal dynasty I was very shallow in the defensive backfield so I put junior WR Keenan Allen at safety. The default rosters dont give Allen the justice of how good of a safety he really is so I edit him to make him an 88 overall I believe. What most people dont know is that even though Cal had him play WR he was one of the top safeties out of highschool at a 4 star. He was actually recruited heavier as a DB by schools like Alabama though he chose to come to Cal so he could play reciever
