Yea, that's why I went through and did the research myself so I'd have some idea what was happening. I posted the link higher up. Don't know why they removed it because they also delayed the posting of the projections period. I used to see it just after the BCS or so and now it's nearly the end of the season before they post it. Comes in handy with custom conferences where if you decimate a conference, you'll know how many at larges you are opening up.

If they ever cut down on the 1-AA games, this will happen some day in real life. We're pushing it on the number of eligible teams as it is. I haven't really checked in great details on future schedules in the game, but if the game doesn't schedule about 100 a year like they do in real life (which is just getting sad, but that's another discussion), then this is a likely problem.

At least they're taking some big schools 5-7 and 4-8 teams. I think some old NCAA versions had some weird logic going on because I had a 2-10 team get one. It was Arizona so I wondered if it just picked the first one alphabetically, but I never really looked too hard to figure it out.

On NCAA 03, Army had a 1-11 record and got to whatever was the first bowl. I think it might have somthing with the alpabet too. There was a 5-7 team (I think it was Duke) and it was freaky. 3-9 teams have happened in all my NCAA's so those aren't new to me.
