PROJECT: Play Chart vs Defense
So sometimes playing online we come across people that are consistently successful with a particular play or a few plays and we can't stop it. They dominate us all game.
In this thread, I want to collect as many popular plays and put the defense that stops them (along with any associated audibles).
I'll start off with one of the biggest complaints.
Maryland I
HB Toss: Use 3-4 Cover 2 where the LBs buzz the flats.
OR: Use 3-3-5 SS Dogs, bring linemen in and allow safeties to have contain.
Another one I see is WR/TE slanting over the deep middle, especially out of 4WR sets. If it's out of a 2 WR set, I use 4-3, and there's a play that doubles the TE with a linebacker and a safety. For the shotgun sets, I use Cover 2 sink and make sure the MLB is deep enough. If they're completely ignoring anything short, I change my zone coverage to conservative to allow them to drop back even deeper.
What else do you guys have to add?
