Man this is no comeback code or no secret devious program installed to make you lose. Wait scratch that, I can't say for certain there isn't but we don't have any evidence there is. All of these anecdotes about the time you were winning by 20 and fumbled 10 times don't do much to prove there is. What it comes down to is people hate losing and have selective memories.

The times you have a lead and keep it are forgotten, and the times you give up a comeback get magnified. Also, I bet the people complaining about comeback code are never whining when they're the one who pulls off some improbabe comeback. I'm sure that's considered skill, while when the cpu does it to you it's cheating. Just a whole lot of mental gymnastics going on to rationalize losses.

You can go into any casino and find people who will swear one of the games is rigged against them, it's the same basic concept.

But what if it is rigged. It's the same basic concept, you're right. We'll never know. While there isn't any evidence that there is, there isn't any evidence that there isn't. I, for one, am not just talking about comebacks. I'm talking about entire predetermined games. But I no longer see a point in debating this because like I said there's really no point/resolution to be found.

Re: If the game doesnt want you to win... YOU WONT!

As others have said, I think this is the computers way of having a fun dynasty. The season before i posted this game i was 6-7. I had young players and my starting QB starting running back were out for most of the season.

Heck I lost to SMU and Kansas state.

"Troll" is a overused term on message boards and it really needs to die.

I don't understand how I "trolled" this message boards.

I just spotted out a game that seemed very off for me.

7 turnovers? Oh and another thing i forgot to mention, I actually made an interception ran it back to dive in the endzone, my corner who wasn't touched fumbled the ball in the endzone and the opposing team recovered it.

I dont mind losing. Its what makes the game fun, but I dont like being cheated either. This game was just one of those games.

Re: If the game doesnt want you to win... YOU WONT!

I dont see how fumbling 2 or 3 times in a row and the cpu comes back to win means there is a cheating code. These things happen in real life too you know. Plus I've played around 20 dynasty games so far and have yet to fumble like that in a game. The most I've even fumbled in a game was 3 times and that was spread out through 4 quarters. I think some of you start playing more 'loose' when you are up and have selective memory when the cpu does come back on you.

It sounds to me like you should have attempted the field goal a little bit sooner. Personally, I don't even bother going for a first down in OT if I know a field goal wins the game. I'll run the ball and try to get a shorter kick and will attempt a field goal on second down. There's no need to risk things any further than that.

Re: If the game doesnt want you to win... YOU WONT!

Listen guys-- I just read through the whole forum, and I have previously been on the "The Game Cheats to Win" bandwagon...and still to a degree believe that's the case. BUT the biggest difference is, it's a 2-way street. There's been times where I just decimate opponents and they couldn't do anything right...but that also works vice versa too...like maybe there IS a pre-determined victor before you even have the kickoff; but to which team's credit??

However, I think the key phrase that the developers tried to program here is MOMENTUM. College football is an emotional sport, and when teams are hot-- they're hot...and momentum seems to carry a LOT of weight in this game; throughout the course of each game and even the course of the season! BUT you have to remember that it always seems to be a 2-way street. How many times have you played as a crappy team in Dynasty, scheduled yourself a preseason #5 ranked team...pulled an AWESOME upset and it sent their season into a tailspin ending up 5-7 or 6-6?? Try focusing on the fact that a lot of it is MOMENTUM based and that might help. ((because quite frankly I don't know how you write a program to capture human emotion and portray that on the field without these crazy things happening SIGNALING this...I'm sure it's challenging))

Re: If the game doesnt want you to win... YOU WONT!

The biggest problem I have with your argument is its based on FAITH. You BELIEVE its in there, waiting to cheat you out of a victory you feel you earned. I think what you "believe", you're really imagining. You're forgetting the mistakes you made that caused you to lose the game. The bad decisions and not game planning.

And for the record, Iowa state may be a lower tier team, but they have talent and can play with baylor. In the 2nd year of my dynasty they were undefeated in a lower conference. Think I put them in the mac that year so they beat western michigan, NIU, I put indiana down there as well, minnesota, and a couple other decent middle to lower teams.

They have an Impact player at mlb so your rb fumbling makes sense. Them coming back also relied on a strong offensive impact player at qb. Cry all you want but you let them back in the game yourself. Did you personally set the adjustments for the defense as well? Did you touch the offensive ones. Did you do anything to deserve to win? NO, you blamed the ai for cheating.

To complain about this kind of nonsense is ridiculous. Everyone knows there's comeback AI. Its so you dont win every game by 40. You shouldnt beat every team by 40 points, Most dont give up till the end of the game. No matter how stacked you got your team, sometimes the underdog wins.

Teams amass talent all the time and then fall flat on their faces when they dont GAMEPLAN. They assume their talent will beat hard work. You didnt put in the work so you lost. End of story.
