It depends on the defense they are playing and the Throwing Lane you have available. But yes.. basically, it allows you to throw the ball over defenders heads.

Does it add more distance to deep passes? I am picked off 75% of the time I throw a deep post, regardless if my receiver has beaten his man or not.

Re: Important: L2/LT Button

I only had to play a quarter to show that it works. I had 3 or 4 passes that snuck in right over a defenders hands.

It makes the ball fall in at a steeper angle. I wouldn't say more distance.. but it makes the ball fall into the receiver hands in more of a basket catch scenario. Basically.. your receiver will make the catch the DB usually makes on your ball.

But for some reason it does make WRs with good hands and awareness be more aggressive going after the ball. I see them dive more for passes out of reach, even dive for tipped passes.

Throwing animation seems to be the same and take the same amount of time. Haven't seen any new animations from it.

But it does seem to make the ball drop in a more sharper angle. To the point you can hit a WR in stride without him slowing down or stopping.
It's good to see someone mention this bolded part. I felt like this was happening, but wanted independent confirmation. This is as beneficial as the added arch it puts on the ball. WR's play much better now. I don't know why it works, but this is one hell of a discovery.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
