Diving tackle from behind (swiping at feet)

I remember seeing a thread a while back talking about not being able to tackle a receiver from behind by swiping at the receivers feet.

I was able to tackle a receiver this way in a game i was playing today. Its the first time ive ever seen this animation but it looked pretty realistic and it saved a sure touchdown.

I saved the highlight and would like to upload it so everyone can see the play, but im not sure how to go about doing that?

Happened for me earlier today as well, but he only stumbled.. regained balance and took it in for the score. It was also my first time seeing contact made on that type of attempt.

Ah that must of been a killer, on mine he wrapped the guys feet and he fell forward into like a roll on the ground

I wonder if this is tied into the tackle slider.

This has been one issue I've seen due to putting tackle @ 15

I can't recall one instance the CPU has dove and actually clipped my feet.

I might have to test this

I don't know, I haven't seen it. They always missed my feet and even when I was playing with that slider at 50. Hopefully they could tune it to where it occurs more often on chase downs.

I see it all the time. You get it when you hit the tackle button (square on PS3) when you're, you know, in position to swipe at the ballcarrier's feet.
