This sounds almost exactly what I just made to use with Nebraska. I called it the Husker Power Offense. It is basically most of Osborne's offense and then Oregon's spread rushing game. I managed to fit in 29 formations into my playbook by being ruthless when I cut plays.
Ace Big
Ace Bunch Base
Ace Normal
Ace Twin TE
Ace Twin TE Slot
I Close
I Slot
I Tight
I Twin TE Strg
I Y Trips
Pistol Full House
Pistol Spread
Shotgun 4WR Trio (only 6 plays)
Shotgun 4WR Trio Str (only 6 plays)
Shotgun 5WR Trio (great formation)
Shotgun Bunch
Shotgun Gator Heavy
Shotgun Normal
Shotgun Normal Flex Wing
Shotgun Slot F Wing
Shotgun Split Close
Shotgun Split Offset
Shotgun Spread Flex
Shotgun Trio HB Wk
Shotgun Wildcat Spread
Shotgun Wing Offset
Shotgun Wing Offset Wk
Wishbone Normal
Bunch Base/Twin TE/Twin TE Slot all have the automotion with an H-Back/FB to create a two back look. Ace Big was a staple in Osborne's offense under Frazier, so I put that in. The I's all have triple option and some great power run looks. The two Pistols are really basic, but Full House is awesome. The guns are all self-explanatory. Wishbone is great for power run.
This was all with Air Force as a base as well.
