Guys I don't get off on giving false info. This is exactly as I say it was hell I'll never use the crap coupon so I'll reveal my reference number if you like. I demanded they send me an email confirmation of what I was told was the correct date. They told me the first lady I talked to a week ago was absolutely wrong in saying Aug 27. I was on hold at least 3 separate times.
Finally they said Sept 7 is the date. I was like is this a best estimate. They said no it is a scheduled confirmed release date. I mean we'll see cuz lord knows she sure as hell was wrong.

I was just trying to give the community the word straight from the horses mouth.

Why attack the OP?!?! Nobody is going to go thru the trouble of making a fake letter and all of that. He was just trying to pass along what he was told and y'all immediately attack him. The Xbox customer service rep might have been wrong but that's what they told him.

Personally, it annoys me that it won't be before Labor Day...

A long weekend to play a fixed game would have been nice.

I am curious as to why this thread is still open, or at the very least, not had the title changed. It is very misleading. Someone skimming the forums would see the title of this thread and think this was true or something. No one has or can verify that this is true. I've seen threads closed for less. I would just like a lil consistency here.

Personally, I'm betting the screen reading robots in India handling EA support lines don't have a clue between a patch and a tuner update. EA can't quote a patch release date as that's under the control of MS and Sony. They likely CAN quote a release date for a tuner set.

My best take on the confusion.
