How to stop running offense from human opponent? (and recruiting question)

Dude, dont listen to these cats. if you think your freinds running game is cheesy, what they are telling you to do is cheesy too in regards to run commit/defensive keys.Thats the most unrealistic and worst thing EA put in this game. I never do it and always stop the run. If you want to stop the run, go 4 2 5 package and pick the approriate 4 2 5 formation that fits your opponents offensive formation. but please dont re sort to that run commit cheese, cuz most guys who use that are sorry.

Unbelievable... IRL it's 3rd and one and everything I'm seeing as a defensive player or coach suggests youre running up the gut, you don't think I'm going to commit to stopping that?

Eh... the run commit is a good addition to this game. Because it is so high risk high reward. I have had success when I guess right, but get burned hard when I guess wrong. I have given up a lot of long TD runs when I over commit to the wrong side.
