Fumbles

I'm seeing way too many fumbles by the CPU but I can't figure out what slider to change to stop that from happening.

Now you are assuming that you can apply it to all stats. And you can't use this year. All of a few games have been played per team. Using last year, I've got 12+ games of data for every team. Yes, I will have to check them for sure when I get home but I believe that the relevant ones are something like this:

Hum/CPU

RBA 45/55
RBB 45/55

TAK 40/50

I haven't done any major changes to the sliders as of yet. I am always pretty cautious about changing the sliders because I don't want to create any additional issues.

Another thing I see is that almost everytime I throw a pick, the CPU fumbles on the return! Also when the CPU fumbles, if they recover it and try to run with it they almost always fumble it a second time.

In 2010, there were 9 teams that averaged less than 1 fumble per game. 1 team that averaged less than .8 fumbles per game. Over half the teams averaged 1.5 or more fumbles per game.

If you are fine with low fumble numbers, so be it, but I am trying to find a way for my games to be more representative of NCAA averages.

Here's something obvious that you can do (I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of this sooner) to fix this. We've been given the awesome ability in this year's game to edit any and all players. If you want your guys to fumble more, just reduce all ball carrier's CAR rating by "x" across the board. You can do that for all incoming recruits after you find an "x" that gives you the # of fumbles that you want.

I've been messing around with this issue tonite. If I put the Defense strip ball to aggressive and lower the human tackling slider and put the running back running to aggressive and lower the human RBA, I am now seeing fumbles.

Now I just have to see if I can tweak the rest of the sliders to get to a decent level. Good news is, you do have to cover up when getting to contact or the ball will pop out. Baker and Caper eah fumbled once against Penn State and I forced 3 fumbles. So good news there. Now I just have to tweak this.

What sucks about editing rosters though is that its time-consuming.
