What is the deal with single game records?

I just ran a kickoff back 103 yards for a TD and it said that I just broke the record for longest kickoff return for a TD breaking the previous record of a 90 yard kickoff return for a TD set back in 1990 by KU or something like that. Also, there are tons of other fake single game records. What is the deal with this?

Re: What is the deal with single game records?

I think they just made some single game records low so they could be broken easier.

Yup.

Example.....Longest Pass actual record is 99 yds (by Drew Brees, and I assume others).

But it would be no fun to never be able to get that record. So the developers lowered them to make them obtainable.

I like that EA did that.

It has always been this way and its always bothered me as well. Im all about realism and I wish they had the actual records in the game. I realize that some would only be able to be tied or be very difficult to break but I would personally rather have the real records in the game. Just my .02

Re: What is the deal with single game records?

I like and dislike the real records not being in the game.
Part of me likes it because you can break it.
Part of me hates it because of realism.

But, somehow, the new pass record is 108 yards now according to my stats in my current dynasty.
Yeah, dunno how that happened.
