Custom Conferences Scheduling Question??

I added two teams to the Big 12 in my offline dynasty. There are two 6 team divisions.

So now I have 12 teams and I wanted each team to play 9 conference games. I have protected rivalries On because I wanted Texas to Play Oklahoma every season. Anyways I had conference play start in week 5 figuring that would allow for 10 weeks to play 9 conference games. At least that was the hope.

However conference play has started in week 6 and their is only 8 conference games. How do I make sure that each team plays 9 conference games?? Is there any way to regulate how many conference games are assigned?

You have to turn off protected rivalries to get 9 games for your conference. Here's the blog that details all of the setups in terms of size and how many games you play: http://www.ea.com/ncaa-football/blog/custom-conferences

I set up a 14 team ACC conference, turned protected rivals off, yet in my first season, I am only getting 8 conference games.

Has that happend to anyone else?

Yup, they have it backwards. You need to enable protected rivals to get 9 games. The EA blog explains it wrong (or more likely they implemented it wrong)

Wait.. wait. There are conflicting remarks in here. Do you turn them OFF to get 9 games? Or turn them ON for 9 games?

EDIT: I currently have them OFF in a 12 team and am getting 9 games. So I'd assume you have them ON to get 8?

I think it's ON for 9, OFF for 8.

Maybe he was talking about the 14 team conferences being wrong. I've had 9 conference games each year with protected rivalries OFF in a 12 team.
