I have been trying to run a spread offense and have a QB that is a running threat. Haven't had any luck though , the running game period seems messed up out of the shotgun. I have tried different spread attacks and it just doesnt seem to matter. Any advice out there for me ?

use shotgun formations with the HB flexed/offset from the QB. I think these are all of them: Spread Flex, 4WR Trio, 4WR Trio STR, Wing Offset, Wing Offset Wk, Split Offset, Normal Flex Wing, and Slot F Wing. some of the other shotgun formations have hidden HB offset plays in it, like Shotgun Ace, Normal, and Trips.

It's much easier to run from those types of shotgun formations, including running the zone read.

since i cant seem to make a playbook , which offense would you try ?

Use Clemson if you can't make a playbook. It is definitely the best spread rushing book in the game. I'm pretty sure it is mostly identical to Auburn, but with Pistol Full House.
