A WTF moment. How does this happen?

Ok. So I won my division in the Pac-12. Colorado and I were the two best teams with 3 conference losses each. The next team had 4 conference losses. I beat Colorado by 40. Colorado went to the Pac-12 championship game over me. How does that happen?

It probably depends on who you beat and who you lost to in the conference.

It would appear that conference tiebreakers go alphabetically.

I agree! I needed that BCS win too... oh well. Now I'm at Illinois. BTW, if you don't mind, could you help me out with my other thread a couple threads down? Just wanting a few opinions.

That's not it. It's not stated in this thread but the OP said in another thread he's playing as Arizona State so he would have gone in if it were alphabetical. My theory is that the game uses in-division record as the first tie-breaker.
