Weight and height don't seem to matter at all in this game. At least from what I've seen, hopefully this is something that will be improved for next year.

Actually I could see a 6 '1" 185 lb 17 year old senior SS projecting as a LB on the next level if the body type looked like it could hold some weight. See Brian Urlacher. But doubtful they would project *** a 4*.

But you are right, no legit 4* LB would be below 195, and even then, EA doesn't have a proper system in place for weight progression.

Re: 6'1 173 Pound OLB

I see this so often, it is the one reason I am glad we can edit weight of players. That way it is a bit more realistic. An undersized high school guy comes in, gets put through the strength & conditioning program and adds 20-25 pounds or more. That is how I rationalize editing the weights of my guys that come in like that. I'll recruit slower 200 pound safeties, bump them up 25 pounds and drop them to LB. I'll recruit 6'4" and up WR's with B speed or so and move them to TE, moving their weight up to 225 or 230.

But seriously, there is really no reason they should come in ridiculously undersized. The arbitrary recruit generating is pretty ridiculous, not just the sizes but the ratings often times make zero sense when put together. B+ or better speed guys coming in with B- or worse acceleration. Guys with really high spectacular catch ratings but really low jump ratings (and no size). Defensive ends with no speed, no strength but some how decent block shredding ratings. Defensive backs that can tackle but not cover a damn thing (I just signed a safety with B+ speed, B tackle, B hit power, C+ block shredding but D Man Coverage and C- Zone coverage, obviously he'll be moved down to LB).

It seems like some ratings should automatically impact other ratings in one way or another, yet they all seem to be totally random.

Re: 6'1 173 Pound OLB

I'm currently recruiting a 5'11" 268 pound center. He's a 4* and the #3 center in the class. A few others that have stuck out to me (and these were all 4* or higher players)

6'4" 190 DE
6'1" 175 OLB
5'11" 260 DT
6'1" 255 OG
6'1" 215 TE
6'0" 217 DE

Thank goodness for the ability to edit players height and weight.

The DT is not totally unbelieveable for a freshman. He would gain weight and be about 280-290 irl.
