I can't pass worth **** in this game.

Got it for Christmas, and I just find it tough to pass. Seems that CB and Safeties are able to accelerate quite quickly and cut inside on out routes. When my guy has made a move and gotten behind the DBs, they seem to be able to make interceptoins Willie Mays style.

Any tips on the passing game?

what difficulty are you on? I'll be the first to admit, I could not complete more than 50% on Varsity with default sliders in my first Dynasty bowl game. The linebackers, the safeties, they just seemingly covered every bit of the field and the D-line got to my QB with ease. The only way I was able to complete some passes was after a few successful scrambles by the QB and I think at that point, the CPU starting leaving my tight end uncovered.

You have to run the ball a little bit and just accept that the numbers won't be that good.

You could even set the game to Freshman and then bump the sliders but I think the game will still be too easy.

It does seem like the CPU can never make a mistake in this game, very frustrating.

well, do like I said: run the ball a bit, raise the OFFSIDE slider so u can get the CPU on that (i've had the CPU well into the neutral zone at the snap and no flag came), and dont rush when u walk up to the line. Realize when the blitz is coming, they almost ALWAYS show it, very rarely do they rush from a regular position. And, unfortunately, dont read passing lanes like real life passing lanes. Those guys who manage to get open 15 yards BEHIND the linebacker? they're not really open. I kno, it's wrong, unfair but that's the game we have.

Personally I am not very good myself but try some formations with 3 wr to a side and you may be able to get an open guy. Plus doing that and hitting the hb out of the backfield to that side can be helpful as well.

Some pass routes are tough to throw to since the CPU knows your plays. I dont even call curl routes. Every time I call it, CPU either calls Man Coverage or the LBs gets there on zone coverages. 9/10 times I throw there it is either a INT or Pass Breakup.
Try to spread the defense out and look for mismatches or do alot of short routes.

Learn to read defenses.

I too struggled with the passing game....I just went to practice and went up against Cover 1, Cover 2, & Cover 3 only for quite a while until I felt comfortable knowing where the holes are in each coverage. Then I practiced against blitzes and such.

I'm running a pass heavy run & shoot in my online dynasty and my QB has thrown for 41 TDs, 4050 yards and a 67% completion percentage. I credit it to 1. The Run & Shoot...I love WR option routes....and 2. PRACTICE!
