39. Grew up playing Atari and C64 games (hardball and 4th and inches were two great games).

Re: Age of Gamers

51, and still playing, sports games for the most part. Grew up on Pong, Atari, Intellivision, C64, and on and on. Another "senior" in this thread described earlier about growing up on the same systems, only dreaming of the day that we'd have the types of games that we have now. So true.

You know, when I read gamers complaints about things such as "how the jerseys don't get dirty enough during rain games", or "the spiral on the ball looks funky", or "the AI quarterback doesn't read the option realistically on this one play", or "the announcers don't pronounce my linebackers' name right", I think back and just shake my head a little bit. You younger pups have no idea how good the gaming really is nowadays. At least compared to the games I played in my teens, 20's, and 30's. Can't wait to see what I'm playing even 5, 10 years from now.

Re: Age of Gamers

I'm 24...all I really play are sports games...that's all I've ever really played since I was a kid.

It has nothing to do with bragging or feeling better about yourself, it is meant to show that you can still be active and like video games. The OP mentioned reading books, etc. Those are all still activities you can do and still enjoy video games.
