God Bless
37 FCS teams have beaten an FBS team going back to 2005.

So 78 teams were in. Of course WKU was in the MVFC back in '06, but I didn't include them since they've since moved up to I-A. Those were all the I-AA teams in NCAA Football 10 which is the last PS2 version I got.
Alright cool, thanks. I ordered a PS2 and a few games and 06 was the NCAA I picked.

And I believe there were 4 (correct me if that's the wrong number though) this year alone, and a couple others came extremely close, including my Panthers who lost on a last minute drive against Iowa State. If you look at UNI's history as a whole they give FBS teams a scare year in and year out. Remember a few years back when Iowa had to block 2 FGs in the last seconds to beat them? Also, VA Tech survived a huge scare against a decent James Madison team. The list goes on and on.

Excuse me, VA Tech was beaten by that JMU team a couple years back. My bad.

Thank you for looking that up for me lol...I really didn't want to go looking again. But the point remains, in the 7 or 8 years since 2005 (however you wanna slice it)...about 5 teams per season (if you average it out) have lost to FCS teams

Close. There were 6. The largest margin was 44-16 Indiana State over Western Kentucky. There were 7 in 2010, 5 in 09, 2 in 08, 9 in 07, etc.

Re: FCS Finally Back In NCAA 2013?

In fact, I just found this article which gives some interesting insight on the whole FBS v. FCS thing. Over the years FBS teams have lost 388 times and have won about 80% of the matchups, so it is certainly not a given that the FBS teams always rule the day.

Haha no problem. I just went to Wikipedia and started with last season. It lists the FCS wins over FBS for each season back to 05.

I am on this side. I want the FCS represented, but I want the core issues resolved. Why not give us 75, 80, 20,( pick a number) teambuilder spots with the ability to ADD to the NCAA game without swapping out for teams? With the ability to create new conferences. I think that would be a good compromise. Plus I think the teambuilder teams for the FCS that people make would be a better representation of the team.
