This is how I feel. It's just a reflection of the whole product. If you're going to be lazy with something such as socks, what else are you taking a shortcut on? A game like The Show focuses on those little things and as a result their final product reflects their passion to nail the finer details of the game.

Exactly. Look at the various levels of customization to your player you can do in The Show. Bat color, glove color (down to laces), different sleeve lengths and colors, batting gloves in one pocket or both, 8 or 9 different sunglasses styles (and different colors), etc etc etc.

There is just zero attention to detail in the NCAA series. Absolutely none.

Equipment as a whole needs to be revamped. They are so out of touch with what these kids are wearing these days. As a former college running back, I'm big on appearance.

I dunno how EA continues to screw this up. The community that they SOOOO value has been telling them that they need to fix this for, what, 5 years or so? To compare it to The Show, I and other Dodger fans told Kolbe that the blue was too light, and SCEA fixed it the next year. We tell the NCAA guys that nobody wears short socks anymore in 2008, yet it's still in the game.

That's overstating things imo, but there's no denying that EA's attention to detail isn't what it could (or should) be.
