When I heard they were updating the passing game. And adding all these drop backs and such I just new this was the year they made quarterbacks look andlay like quarterbacks.

On ncaa12 every qb drop backs and throws the same way. Every qb can throw the bullet. Throw power doesn't determine the velocity. Every qb has a Marino or elway arm.

It's the same this year.

Yeah, the added 20 new drop backs. But they are tied to plays. And not to players. So every qb will still throw the Same. They added new pass Trajectories. That's great. But once again every qb can use them. That shouldnt be the case.

A qb that has a 80 throw power shouldn't be able to throw the bullet on a rope.

Also the ball is still huge. It makes the passing game look horrible. It makes the field look so small.

I've said this many many times. They need three types of qbs. Pocket passer. Scrambler. And gunslinger.

Pocket passer should be able to make all the throws with average veLocity. And have a normal looking drop back.

Scrambler should have poor throwing motion and footwork. And not have the strongest arm.

Gunslinger should have the highest throw power and should be the only qbs that can throw the ball on a frozen rope. Also then tend to drop back holding the ball in one hand. And have a quick release.

If EA could just make these three type of qbs then it would give the game so much more depth.

Final thoughts
Yeah they made great improvements with the trajectory. But the ball is still so big it doesn't look good. They gave qbs more drop backs. But every qb will do them. It seems they went the wrong direction. And I won't be buying.

i guess u didnt read the kubutu write up where it said qb's have to have high arm rating to throw the bullet pass ....why not put this in the other thread?

vick is a scrambler and he has a cannon for an arm. so does peyton manning, and he is a pocket passer. your categories would severely limit the game's ability to mimic reality.

Neither of those two hav "cannons". Neither of them them can throw as hard as Marino, elway. Those guys.
