Why does everyone leave when Madden comes out?

I was wondering why most people abandon NCAA when Madden comes out. I mean I do it as well, but Id like to know YOUR reason if you do or dont. The reason I do it is because there is no "Online Team Play". In Madden Ive been playing with the same 3 guys for about 2-3 yrs now in team play and we're always in the top 100. I just wish EA would implement 'Team Play' in NCAA. Ive always preferred NCAA over Madden. I like the diversity of 114 teams or how ever many there is. I like the fact you can be a Run team, Pass team, Balanced team, Option team, Alot more defenses than Madden + its a great way to learn prospects for upcoming drafts and college seasons.

I would just like to hear peoples opinions about things on this topic -

Thanks

Re: Why does everyone leave when Madden comes out?

The only reason I would ever completely jump from one to the other is if one played a substantially better game of football than the other. In an ideal world I'd play them both in conjunction in order to be able follow players from college to pro.

I'm actually a much bigger fan overall of the NCAA series than I am of Madden even though IRL I follow Pro much more than college. I've just always liked it better because there's more teams, recruiting is a bigger chalenge than simply signing players, and the massive roster turnover keeps it fresh. Also I think the pageantry is a bit better

I usually did. Like clockwork, every year, I'd binge on one then hope over to the other... rinse and repeat, back and forth until the next games come out. I get too much from NCAA and not enough from Madden now though, the experiences feel uneven and I am not sure how Madden can match what I get out of online dynasty and the coaching carousel. I don't think it can ever really match the dynamic of dealing with a 4 year turnover on your roster for players and the coaching carousel allowing for a game-backed way to move from team to team.

I will be happy to see something that changes it, but my expectations are that I won't.

I don't even watch college football but am an avid NFL fan, it's just that NCAA is so good of a game.

I don't. I always buy Madden and trade it in a month or two later. I'm still playing NCAA 12

Re: Why does everyone leave when Madden comes out?

I'm not into Pro Football, but Madden for me offers more depth to the player's (DPP/Hot-Cold Streak, Tendencies etc...) game-to-game, better player Stat presentation, QB Throwing Styles w/varying ball release, Broadcast Cam (although not the best angles), Pop of Uniform Colors/Helmets, Stadium Fly-by's, NBA Style team/player Intro's, Equipment like High socks, Animations, etc...

Again, I'm not a Madden/Pro gamer at all (dislike Pro Sports for the most part), but to me Madden offers more depth to player's performing different gameplay wise and it's presentation as a whole is a little more eye catching to me.

I just create NCAA Teams on Madden, eventhough they have not literally touched their Generic logo's since being on Next-Gen.
-->not even (1) single logo addition, so controlling EA is!

But this is why for me.

Re: Why does everyone leave when Madden comes out?

I think over all most people drop NCAA for Madden because more people in general are more familiar with pro teams and pro players then college teams and college players. They just buy NCAA to hold them over until Madden comes out.

Also you have to consider it is way more easier to get people to join a Madden league then NCAA league, just due to the familiarity level.

Me personally......I buy both, hell I buy damn near every sports game that come out except for hockey. But I enjoy college sports more. More teams and dynasty over all is more fun then franchise.

I stick with NCAA, Madden just doesn't keep me interested. Online Dynasty ftw

Re: Why does everyone leave when Madden comes out?

I get both every year. However, Coaching Carousel and Recruiting make me play NCAA more. After Taking all 32 NFL teams to a SB (exporting them after the off-season) I lose interest in it. Play friends and family on madden over NCAA though.
