I might fire it up while I wait for named rosters to be released just to play as Barry Sanders, but after that I highly doubt I even look at it in the menu.

The only time I'll think about it is during loading screens that say, "Have you tried Heisman mode?!? Relive the Heisman season of your favorite player!"

If you pre order from gamestop, you get tim tebow for use in heisman mode.

I'd rather have a working RTG (teams running no huddle, customizable quarter lengths, working AI, being able to play highschool and still used your named rosters) and the ability to add these players, then basically just a 2nd, dumbed down RTG.

EA does it for the casual fans, but honestly it was just a horrible decision on their end.
