Creating yourself as a recruit in dynasty?

I usually stick to my real numbers...
I'm currently 6'2" and 235lbs so I typically play TE or LB (like I did while in High School) or sometimes try HB or FB and be a Power Back.

Realistically, I could have been about a 43 overall LG out of high school. Good enough for Oregon State....



Nowadays I would be a 12 overall.

If I went back to my HS days and went from playing baseball to football I'd probably make a solid TE.

I graduated at 6-3, 225 and have good hands. I'd be one of the average, run of the mill TE's. I'm confident I could've played college football if I put my time/energy into it.

Currently I play QB on a "semi-professional" football team. I have solid arm strength but I'm having difficulty transferring my baseball motion to football. I didn't hit my stride until the end of the season. They put me in the wildcat formations where I either ran the ball or threw a bomb.

So long story short:

TE: mid-70s. Just a sure handed catcher and a smart guy who would block

QB: mid 60s. Good arm, mediocre accuracy, low IQ

I used to create myself so good then I would not get him and get ticked off..

So now...

I create a WR or CB (POS i played in HS)

Then do as follows:

1 - 40-59
2 - 60-69
3 - 70-79
4 - 80-89
5 - 90-95
6 - 96+

I then use an online randomizer and each skill set I generate 1-6 and certain catergories I give 2 rolls and use the best as long as it fits that Position (such as WR - Catching x2 so I roll a 3-4 I use 4.)

After selecting each skill and giving it a 1-6

I generate a number for that catergory
EX. Speed is a 4. So I put 80-89 in generator and it gives me a number like 84 so my speed is 84.

On skills that are irrelevant to WR such as THP, etc I would limit it to 1-2 or something like that so I can only get like 65 THP at max.

I vary the numbers but just done a rough estimate to show how I do it lol.

Takes some time but it usually gives realistic and not too good stats everywhere.

The zone concepts do help a tad bit but EA still has to work that out I just started playing football and I can tell they messed that up.

I hope so.. Ive had a couple of people tell me im too tall for the position and should switch to saftey or wide receiver... but i love cb to much for that. I mean there are large cbs around my size. like nnamdi, david amerson, tharold simon and such... i think i'll be alright
