Mlb's license allows for first party games, but was exclusive to 2K for third parties.

Exclusive to Third Parties. EA is a third party. Sony is not. Thus MLB The Show and no MVP.

I expect EA to make some sort of deal to use MLB Stadiums in their games in the future.

No. There are a few other bowl games that are played in baseball stadiums in the game (Beef O Bradys Bowl, Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl), but I think they just use generic stadiums.

Yeah, they're generic. I don't know how worth it it is to create fake baseball stadiums for the lowest-tier of bowls. The one in st Pete might not even be around much longer.

Hopefully they'll at least put the Pinstripe Bowl in, even if it is at a generic stadium; it's odd to play a bowl season with a game missing.

Though I guess after the S. Alabama thing I wouldn't be too surprised if it "didn't get added in time."

They cover the infield with grass for the Pinstripe Bowl though.

But I know what OP means, I used to enjoy playing early season games vs. the Niners, Dolphins and Raiders back in the day with Madden.

I don't think they want to pay the Yankees the big bucks.
