A question about recruiting/scouting

This is just a quick question about recruiting and scouting. Does anyone know if you make the standard recruit call if you can still scout the player after? Or do you have to do the scouting before, or can you only do one or the other? Sorry if this has already been answered, I guess i should also say im asking this about ncaa 13 lol
