Re: Are you kidding me, EA?

Ok, sorry to derail the off topic discussion but I actually have an answer to this issue lol. This happened to me at first. The problem is the you already have an Origin account tied to the e-mail you are trying to use to sign-up (it's actually weird because although it says "Account Creation" it actually is a sign-in screen if you already have an Origin account...) No idea why you need to "make a new password" and confirm it. Pretty ambiguous but that's EA for you.

Anyway, what I did was I went to the Origin site, went to the login screen, and clicked on the "Forgot your password?" link. I never recalled creating an Origin account for anything but I typed in my normal e-mail anyway and sure enough something got sent to my e-mail with a link to reset my password. I changed it on my computer then used the same password for the "Account Creation" screen and it finally let me on.

All that aside though, I think it is idiotic that you have to sign up for Origin to begin with. Oh well. Hope this helped

The OP could try this......

Ah I wasn't the OP, that might actually work for his problem. Mine sounds a little different. And I think I'll pass on the third purchase. I might just have to develop the virtue of patience.

Re: Are you kidding me, EA?

Closing this since the question has pretty much been answered and we really aren't getting anywhere further with this discussion.
