How to make NCAA 13 play in 1080p

I tried forcing mine to 1080i and it looks horrible compared to 720.

I trust you are correct, by no means am I electronic literate......but I know what I see, and I see an improvement. That being said, I have gone through 3 stronger eye prescriptions in the last 3 years, hahaha!!

The only reason the 720, 1080i, and 1080p isn't showing up is because you don't have a TV that has those options. That is the one and ONLY reason it isn't showing up. Take a look at you're tv. Lol

Maybe you are right that the games can not be upscaled... I have no idea but I do know for a fact that the PS3 upscales DVDs and does it well.

In a basic nutshell, the 360 has a full hardware scaler whereas the PS3 for some reason only has a horizontal scaler and it was unavailable to devs until about 6 months after release. It's up to the developer to utilize it, that's why most PS3 launch games were locked at 720p. Now some devs have utilized the upscale mainly because some older HDTV's were only 480/1080i. The result is that PS3 games are upscaled mainly from software making the upscaled image noticeably worse than the native image. That is why games that even support the higher resolutions on the PS3 default back to the native resolution even if your TV supports it unless you force it to upscale(unchecking 720p) but the image at 1080 is definitely not as good unless the TV is large enough(50+ inches). So in conclusion 360 has the better scaler, upscales everything, whereas the PS3 upscale depends on the developer and even then it may not automatically upscale.

the game it self has to be made in 1080p for you to get a true 1080p,its only a few games that I know that's made in 1080p and only ps3 has them , 360 cant do a true 1080p it can only upscale a 720p game into 1080i witch it will say 1080p it not, some games even on ps3 will say its made in 1080p but it only the cut scenes in the game that's in 1080p....
