Yes, mine took a few hours to come. I'd assume that the email sends a couple hours after the order is completed, and it's considered completed after you receive it.

Yup this is pretty dead on accurate. I had my father pre order it for me being I don't have a amazon account, and sure enough, late last night they sent a email with the code, even said how to redeme it and everything.
