Re: The Ratings Break Down - NCAA 13 Edition

With these edits, I would start off by playing at default FIRST. Then adjust accordingly.

For linemen...I like the strength, speed and acceleration to match the weight of the player. As in if that player is 300 pounds, their speed will be 50-52.

No defensive linemen will have an acceleration rating higher then 76 unless he is an impact player. Same thing goes for block shedding. If that defensive lineman is 300 pounds, then their power moves will be in the high 80s, with some cases in the low 90s

That will allow that big guy to plug up the running lane and not get pushed backwards on running plays.

For teams that are good at running the ball, offensive linemen get 90 awareness and high 80s in run blocking & impact blocking, unless he is a freshman starter.

Being that not everybody on the line weighs the same most of the time, it all balances out because different linemen will be running at different speeds depending on their weight. And different linemen will have different strength rating, depending on their weight as well.

So if a DE is 250, his strength would be in the 60s. But his speed would be mid 70s. The higher the weight, the lower the speed but higher the strength. No defensive linemen will be above 80 speed. And very few would even have 80 speed, Majority will fall in the 50 to 75 speed range.

Re: The Ratings Break Down - NCAA 13 Edition

So should I still change the speed ratings even if I lower the player threshold when playing?

One question about the "freak" athlete type of player. What do you do with a Barkevious Mingo who runs a 4.5 and just legit fast? Does he fall at that 80 range with acc a bit higher?
