Re: Looking for a team high in tradition who have fallen on hard times

one thing to consider is how you feel about a team

i have a dynasty going with maryland but ill likely only use it as a practice run. maryland has no real rivals. just nice jerseys. when i was kentucky i would love to play my games vs louisville.

im considering tennessee right now.

some things to take into consideration:

if you want to rebuild, do you really want to deal with the CPU pounding you in the bum for 2-3 seasons? rebuilding sounds good but those years are in essence 'wasted' if u play all the games as i do.

if you pick a good school it allows you to set difficult out of confrence games to make sure you aren't always vying for a national title each year

having a school with a good confrence and at least 1 really interesting rival game creates a lot more fun than just building up a team. again, i do like marylands jerseys but their football program has no real heated rival. tennessee has bama. kentucky has louisville. navy has notre dame and army.

if i had to put into order my consideration for choosing a team
1) uniforms
2)stadium
3)confrence/rivals
4)rebuild satisfaction

UCLA is a good choice. They have a good nucleus of young players, including a redshirt Freshman that you can put in right away at QB, and a 93 overall sophomore RT.

For a non-homer pick, Minnesota has 6 national championships, but they haven't won one since 1960, and haven't won a Big Ten title since 1967. Plus, they have some nice new unis, and a beautiful new stadium to play in.
Tennessee is who I plan on going with. They start out 4 stars, so I've started with my alma mater, WVU. After a few years with them I'll take over what will probably be a 3 star Tennesee program, that should make for some fun recruiting wars

Actually their 1990 title was shared with Georgia Tech.

Not necessarily. All those Texas recruits that want to stay in the state of Texas (who wouldn't?) but want to play in the SEC (who doesn't?) can just go to A&M.

Maybe not immediately but soon aTm will be a pretty good team in the SEC. It is the second biggest school in Texas, after all.

and p.s. i HATE aTm so please don't think i'm defending them.
