Why no real FCS teams?

Might just be me but having teams like FCS east, west etc kills cupcake scheduling for me in Dynasty mode.

Re: Why no real FCS teams?

Because it is an entirely different licensing process.

Re: Why no real FCS teams?

I can't believe FCS schools are still absent from the game. Even the last-gen 06-07 versions had them on PS2. You would think they could at least include the top 25 FCS schools and give them all the same generic stadium or something.

Playing dynasty and seeing "FCS South" pop up on the scoreboard is an eye-roller.

That makes no sense. NCAA '09 on the Wii had the FCS teams in it, while the PS3 and 360 didn't (and still don't) have them.

Then they wouldn't have the logos available in teambuilder.

Re: Why no real FCS teams?

People have been arguing about this ever since they took them off the game, now there are a couple of reasons that been tossed around in the past.

1.Disk space
2.Getting the licensing
3.TeamBuilder

Honestly all are debatable as to why there are no FCS teams and I'm sure there are more.

Re: Why no real FCS teams?

EA has the licensing rights to use the teams in question, the FCS teams logos are included on the TeamBuilder website.

It's very likely a memory issue involving too much space required graphical assets for all these teams on-disc (uniforms, stadium meshes, stadium textures) and team rosters (70 more players per team times however many teams are in FCS).

I would guess that FCS teams' inclusion is not a high-priority feature because of A - the relative popularity of FCS football doesn't even begin to touch that of FBS football, and B - TeamBuilder. I do hope that FCS teams are properly represented in the future, however.
