What the heck 3-4 defense

how do i shut down the run down out of the 34 defense what are some run stoppers plays.

I'm not an expert on this, but 2 Man Under is great if you know for sure the team is running. It works really well.

Depends on what set you're in. I like to run the gap press out of the 3-4 solid. Stops runs pretty effectively and if you control the blitzing LB you can drop into a zone if they pass.

Also in the predator there is the pinch and a few zone blitzes that I can't remember the names of off the top of my head.

Finally stick to these sets if you want good run defense IMO, I need to stress that. Predator, solid, under, and odd. Depending on the run these sets have their advantages. You'll really just have to hope you picked the right one. But hey, that's part of the excitement of football!
