Countering the disconect glitch...(online ranked)

I started doing this a couple weeks ago when I got booted by a guy in the top 5. Its always worked well for me, and then just now I was up 24-14 with 1 min left (amazing comeback from being down 14-3 at half, still patting myself on the back) and he pauses the screen. He finally hits resume, so I do too. Instantly, the game starts to freeze and then 2 seconds later a screen pops up saying my connection is gone. Did I get IP booted? I don't know Live well enough to tell.

Oh, and I didn't get a loss or a win for the game.

You don't have to pause the game to be IP booted - people use hacking software to find which IPs are connected to them ... then they select your IP address and boot you/or flood you which will cause you to disconnect.

yeah i had the glitch happen two or three times then common sense just told me to wait until they resumed the game so thats what I always do now and its never happened. It is sad some people care so much bout their record online that they do such dumb things. It is like the people who do the LB Shift glitch all game. Can it be beat? Sure, but most people don't play the game to do the same thing over and over since you refuse to play defense. I guess this video game is more of a serious business than I thought.

You're right. Sorry for sounding rude. Just keep trying his method when someone pauses the game on you and you will see a lot less disconects. Trust me. It works.

Would this cause you to recieve a loss and/or affect your DNF%?
