'Set Up' Plays

Is anyone else having difficulty running 'Set Up' plays? In previous NCAA games, a setup play meant you had the opportunity to exploit the defense and run a big play for a bunch of yards and be fairly successful at it. I never had problems in past years games.

This year, every time I run a setup play, I get stuffed behind the line of scrimmage. Its to the point where I just ignore the setup plays when I see them.

Is it harder this year for anyone else?

I forgot about them, theyre still in? If so, i havent setup crap.

I learned with last year's installment of NCAA Football that the Set Up plays are NOT effective immediately. I generally save the Set Up play for later in the offensive series. Never have I been successful at running it immediately after its available. its like the CPU controlled players know its coming if you run it immediately.

well certain set up plays are pretty easy to defend in the circumstances. i got a set up play after the first play in a series. clearly it won't be effective. also if you ran 9 straight read options, the set up play is a read option pa, which will get you in trouble.

i don't bother running them. i prefer to set the player up myself.
