Can Someone explain??

I was looking through my roster online to get a idea if there was any moves I wanted to make. Well I stumbled across something I would like someone to explain to me if they know the answer.

How does the "Block Shed" ratings work?

If his power moves are rated a low 53 and his finesse rated a low 60, how is his block shed rating a high 81?? How does he "shed" the block if his "moves" are rated low? His strength is lower with a 77 and his agility is so so also.

So my question is what is the difference between "moves" and "block shed"????

Moves are when attacking the line (rushing the QB). Block shedding is when attacking the run. Many players are great at pressure when the line is pass blocking vs. run blocking, its a completely different skillset.

So let me try and understand what you are saying.

Finesse & Power move ratings are against Pass Blocking ratings
Block Shed rating is against Run block ratings

Is this what you are saying?

Power and Finess are pass rushing moves. Block Shedding and strength are for shedding run blocking.

Yes, hence why his tendency is "Run Stopper".

Re: Can Someone explain??

In theory, Power Mover would be a Bull Rush where you just Push the lineman back into the QB or the RB to blow up the play. A finess move would be a swim move. Block shedding would be the ability to get off the block once engaged.

Now that is if these ratings actually meant anything. The Defensive ends don't get any pressure regardless of their size or skill and defensive tackles will bust through the line even if you make them 5'8" 170 lbs.

Bottom line, don't pay attention to those ratings. Just focus on speed and tackling. The rest are mainly cosmetic.
