Recruiting promises. A few qeustions

So I'm working on bring up a 1 star team and making promises is a good way to earn some big points. When recruiting for Wisconsin (my first team) it was pretty easy to decide what promises I could make, and what not to make.

For instance, what does "Solid playing time" mean? I made a promise to a 4 star QB in the off season after taking the job only to have the existing QB jump up 9 points. I promised the kid solid playing time, and now he's my starter, but how many games is "solid"?

What is "good national exposure"? How many games need to be nationally televised for it to be considered good?

And lastly. Is promising an instate recruit a game in his home state a fulfilled promise since we play all our home games IN his home state?

Thanks in advance for any help/answers you can give.

Solid playing time, means starting, not sure how many games etc...

Not sure on National Exposure.

And lastly, yes you do get credit for promising and in-sate prospect a game in-state. I always use it on all my in state recruits as you are guaranteed to fulfill it.

Thanks for the reply. Thats great news about the instate promise. As a 1 star team, promises are hard to come by.

Now that I know that works, I'll have to start using it myself.

I'm not sure how many games it takes for the solid playing time promise, but I do know that 7 of 14 games (including conf. champ. and bowl) was not enough.

Re: Recruiting promises. A few qeustions

You did not ask but I thought I would post this.....

After much research (GOOGLE) into National Title and Conference Championship promises, I discovered the answer!

The official NCAA 13 guide stated you have 4 years to fulfill those.....

WRONG! I ran a quick test myself and offered 10 commits those two promises only. I got all 10 to commit. I simmed the following season and went 4-8. At the end of the year all the promises showed as broken and my coaching integrity went down. Furthermore 8/10 transferred.

Re: Recruiting promises. A few qeustions

if its like previous years, 'solid playing time' just means listed first on your depth chart. You never have to play them, just have them atop your depth chart and use formation subs to have another player start. I think the 'no redshirt' promise is similar too

Really, more than half of the promises are pretty bugged and dont mean what they sound like. I'm not sure EA even knows what they are supposed to do
