NCAA Facemasks
i was just playing Madden 13 from season ticket and noticed that madden has a variety of helmets and facemasks, ncaa football is basically the same game, would it really be that hard to import the same facemask, i hate having Matt Barkley wear the revo speed 2, when he wears the regular revo 2 barI Love the New York Knicks, Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, and FC Barcelona!Tags: None -

Re: NCAA Facemasks
Seems so simple for them to carry it over doesn't it....? I don't understand why AT LEAST the revo speed 2 bar isn't in the game with SO MANY players wearing it now.
Was the same last year, 2 bar was in Madden, I was sure they'd have it in NCAA this year.Arsenal | New York Yankees -

Re: NCAA Facemasks
Since the games are made by two totally seperate groups of people I don't think it's easy for them to carry things over from game to game. I also don't think the vast majority of people care or notice that one player on one team has the wrong facemask.Comment

Re: NCAA Facemasks
I am very frustrated by this. I have read that the Madden team and the NCAA team have been working together to make the games similar and it is evident by the small control changes. I don't understand, for the life of me, why the NCAA team is so nonchalant about the face-masks in the game. I feel like it is more important to have the correct face-masks in NCAA than in Madden. You have player faces and real players in Madden, whereas NCAA you have to regenerate likenesses. I am very frustrated with the face-mask deal in NCAA, EA please fix this ASAP!GT: True Renegade

Re: NCAA Facemasks
^ except for the name, it is the player. Really?! So QB #12 that is 6'4'' 230 lbs, with white skin and is from New Mexico isn't supposed to be Landry Jones????
They use all the same HT/WT, Jersey numbers, skin tones, and Home States... You'd have to be in denial if you didn't think they used the players likeness. They just try not to go into great detail as far as the image of the player, Equipment, and face details. It's why we have a bunch of head models of all guys that look 40 years old, and dreads that are ridiculously long."Statistics always remind me of a fellow who drowned in a river where the average depth was three feet." -Woody HayesComment

Re: NCAA Facemasks
"EA doesn't have to be accurate with the facemasks because they are not creating the exact players on the team. Isn't that what the big lawsuit with the ex-college players is all about."
I think the player models have looked worse since 2007 as a result. The lawsuit holds weight because there were less equipment options and more diversity in the way you could make a player look. For example in NCAA 2006 on PS2, you could make A.J. Hawk from Ohio State look exactly how he looked in real life. There were less helmet options then, and more Hair options.
There's no reason EA couldn't just give us all those options again, but just make the default roster out of box all random. Just change Jersey numbers, HT/WT, and skin tones.... Let the roster editors do accurate rosters, then it isn't EA's problem. Not sure why they don't do this. If they did, I'd hope we could get duplicate jersey numbers as well, since so many teams do this now."Statistics always remind me of a fellow who drowned in a river where the average depth was three feet." -Woody HayesComment
