Oregon Playbook Help (Coach Mode)

I recently started a coach mode ( OC Coach ) Dynasty using Oregon.
Normally I would use a pro style system (custom playbook ) with balance of runs and pass. In choosing Oregon I decided to adapt my style and go with Oregons playbook which much better suits their strengths then my system does. Until I can recruit players to run my pro style, I was hoping to get some input on the Oregon Playbook from someone more experienced then myself.

The trouble Im having is when to call certain Option plays.
Is there a better time/ situation then others to call certain Option plays.
Does down and distance play a factor in what option play to call.
Im having a terrible time running this system and hoping for a little enlightenment here.

Appreciate your time and input

Thanks, Cage

Re: Oregon Playbook Help (Coach Mode)

Once you get used to perfecting read options, and the various plays Oregon has in their playbook, their offense is the most deadly to defend.

Well I understand it's a video game but throughout real Oregon games the offense really only uses a handful of plays in different formations.

Re: Oregon Playbook Help (Coach Mode)

Spread option offenses are all about making the right reads on the various options. As just about everyone will tell you, the CPU sucks *** at running the option and in coach mode, you're at the whim of your CPU controlled QB. I've tried coach mode out to see how it was and it only took a few terrible reads by my QB before I couldn't take it anymore.

If anyone is in a coach mode only OD and needs another please let me know. I have expressed interest in several threads that amounted to nothing.
