Home Field Advantage

I wanted to wait to post this until I finished a full season post patch 2. To me home field advantage is way out of wack.

I am playing as New Mexico in the MWC and using the same sliders (all default on both sides except for user INT's which are at 30) on AA. At home I crush all my conference opponents but on the road I always get blown out. Teams like Wyoming, UNLV, and Air Force destroy me. I am lucky to break 200 yards of total offense and maybe score 10-14 points. While the CPU racks up 400+ yards and usually 30+ points. The same disparity holds true for me over the CPU when I am at home.

I understand me going to LSU or Oregon to be a hostile environment. But UNLV and their 7,000 fans in my dynasty should be of very limited advantage if any.

Does anyone else notice this?

Ive personally never noticed it being a big deal. I did a season with ULL post patch 2 and I won at Oklahoma State and at Florida, and never really had any trouble on the road.

Re: Home Field Advantage

I'm with drtrix. I feel like the game plays differently at home vs. on the road. On default AA, when I am on the road all CPU tackles are big hits and my team fumbles regularly even with carrying on conservative. I don't notice this as much at home.

I am playing in the Sun Belt with FIU so it isn't like I am slugging it out with great opponents. It is entirely possible that I am just terrible at this game.

FWIW, in past games conservative carrying has never worked on big hit fumbles, only on strip fumbles.

Re: Home Field Advantage

I haven't really seen this of course it could be from just plain being pissed about my bad during the game LOL.

However sounds like it could possibly have something to do with momentum as well. It can be really hard to stop that O, or get your O going when that momentum gets going.

I play with HFA off, and I still see some HFA effects. Not the shaking, but home players still play alot better than away players. Not overly juiced like with HFA on though.
