Does anyone know how is the eligibility of transfering players handled in (offline) dynasties?

I am in offseason of my Marshall dynasty and I accepted a transfer request from a 72 OVR RG from Maryland. He was RS FR last season and now is RS SO.

The question is, will he be eligible to play next season or like in real life, will he not? If he isn't eligible to play, does he loose a year of eligibility and is he going to be RS JR next season or does he stay at RS SO?

I believe he can't play the year that he transfers AND loses a year of eligibility (at least that happened in previous years - haven't had a transfer in '13).
