Re: Dynasty House Rules

I tend to play with the "no-switch" rule on defense where I choose one player pre-snap and can't switch until the next play

my dynasty house rules on NCAA 09 (PS2):

I dont do kick returns (its too easy) - I just let the CPU run it back

and I when I do spring drills I can only do them with true freshman

Ah! I miss spring drills so much from previous versions!

In years past, the dynasty rule that worked best for me was regarding the game getting a little too easy/stale, and the need to tweak the challenge of the game, without having to mess with sliders that played well and a difficulty that I was most comfortable with.

What I did was limit/restrict which states I could recruit from. Instead of a nationwide free-for-all, what I would do, and will do again if needed, is this: For example if my roster was getting too good overall, I would limit myself to x number of recruits from SEC states, x number from adjoining states, and like only 2 or 3 recruits from anywhere else (any state)per year. I look at the composition of a real life roster, and get the percentages from that to apply to my recruiting rules.

Eventually, I began to see my overall team ratings decline as a result, and that was the desired effect.
