Getting Fired

I was just curious if anyone has ever been fired from their coaching career. It seems pretty unlikely, but maybe someone has.

Re: Getting Fired

A guy in our online dynasty did after he went 5-7. We also run a heisman based slider set that is pretty realistic. Any team stands a chance. I'm currently sitting at 54% satisfaction so I am really in need of a good season this year. I lost 5 games last year and this year I am 4-2 so far with loses to LSU and Cincinnati. I should not of lost the Cinncy game but I threw a pick in the end of the 4th quarter to lose the game and go down at the end.

We've lost a couple of users in our 12 man, 7 year OD. When that happens (since we stay with the same teams so that we have balanced conferences) the commish boots him and reinvites him, but he has to create a new coach so he drops back down to D- coach prestige.

Re: Getting Fired

I did really well at Western Michigan (went something like 29-10 over three years) was then hired by Iowa, and went 6-7 in my first year and then 5-7 my second and was fired.

I also had a friend who was the coach of Ohio, and he went 8-4 and was fired. So it seems like it happens a fair amount.

Re: Getting Fired

I just had a guy get fired from my OD from Michigan .... He went 53-6 in 5 seasons and won 4 straight conference titles .... His last season he was 13-0 but didn't make the national title game and was fired .... Hard to explain that one
