Clear cache PS3

I have a PS3 and I have read for some games that if you clear the cache it could help with the freezing issue of NCAA. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? What happens to your game when you do this? Thanks.

Re: Clear cache PS3

Power down the PS3 for 30 seconds, lol. That clears the game cache. You can also delete the browser cache, but I doubt it has any effect on your game. You can also uninstall the game and re-install it with a fresh install/patch. Just delete everything associated with NCAA in "game data". Don't delete your saves.

It does not work and it screws your custom stadium sounds (the process re-named all my audio files).

Avoid.

Though your mileage may vary, to be fair.

Re: Clear cache PS3

Most of the time you have to power down when the game freezes and the PS3 does a system restore. EA titles are notorious for random freeze issues. NHL, Battlefield, Black OPs but they are most often related to online. I recognize this as being true because if you would check the EA forums when people post about freezing EA removes the post a few days later. Also in older games where you can no longer connect to EA servers, those games no longer freeze. So it's either a miracle fix or an EA problem.

If you are playing offline the best thing to do is signout of PSN which will automatically sign you out of EA. (For those who think I'm bashing EA. I own some stock in the company, it's a fact their tech support sucks but it is not the fault of the tech support person you contact).
