My friends at work are big baseball fans, but I just can't get into that. College FB is king for me. Every game means so much. They say "but baseball has games every day". I prefer football where there aren't as many games per season, but all that intensity is concentrated into those Saturdays.

On the thread topic, I would like to see preseason polling go away. Matter of fact, I don't think there should be a ranking until, say week 4 or so, It takes a few games to see what the new composition of the teams are made of.

You're viewpoints on Ohio State are just as clouded as his. It's funny you can't see that.

Ohio State was 12-0 with an entirely new coaching staff, that's pretty impressive any way you slice it. Saying otherwise is simply hating. I think they would have beaten Louisville, but Florida would have given them a competitive game. The reason being Ohio State was a smash mouth team not a team that shredded opponents thru the air. I don't think Louisville had the athletes to slow down the Ohio State running game with Miller/Hyde. Not many teams did.

Anyway...Urban Meyer has brought in two of the best RB/WR's in the nation this year and they will see the field. I don't think too many teams are going to be lining up to play the Buckeyes.

That's because Ohio State played in the Big 10. The Buckeyes would've lost to Alabama,Texas A&M,Georgia,Stanford,Oregon,LSU,and Florida State just to name a few.

I just look at the SEC and I don't see a team I believe would be in the NCG without a lot of luck outside of Alabama.

Georgia - They always fall short.
Florida - Not good enough through the air.
South Carolina - Look like world beaters one week, then Div II in others.
LSU - You never know what you're getting from their offense.
A&M - Replacing a lot

Who are we missing?

Kentucky - Would lose in any conference. They're the best at being the worst.
Vandy - Up and coming in the weak side of the conference.
Ole Miss - Always seem to be good every once in A while then fall apart.
Mizzou - Weaker version of South Carolina.
Miss St. - Another team on the rise, but not there yet.
Auburn - I expect more of them.

To me, outside of beating Alabama the only two programs that REALLY hold weight to beat in the SEC is Florida and LSU.
