Appalachian State? (IRL)

So excuse my ignorance on the subject but App State is moving to D1 soon. Is it in 2014 or 2015? (IRL)

They're already Div. I...but will be moving to Div. I FBS next season I believe...won't be bowl eligible until 2015

Yeah true I meant to say from FCS to FBS.

I read its a two year process, they start the transition this year and join the Sun Belt conference in 2014.

Our AD scheduled a rematch with them on 8-30-2014.

2014 is when Charlotte, Georgia Southern, and Appalachian State join FBS. App State and Southern will join the Sun Belt immediately (but won't be bowl eligible until 2015), but Charlotte will have to be an Independent for year 1.

I assume it has to do with them not being postseason eligible; basically App State and Southern are declaring themselves ineligible for the playoffs this year to forego the year as an independent at the next level, but since Charlotte is already ineligible for the postseason they can't do the same and must become independents for a year when they move up.

Old Dominion made the game despite not playing in the FBS until next year because the decision to move up was made official in time to make the game. So EA added them for dynasty purposes (though you will be able to play with them during the 2013 season in the game).
