The WSU prestige conundrum

I can see the argument both ways, for 1 or 2 star. However, I definitely think it's not the biggest prestige "offense" in the game.

True, but it does kind of prove my point that they are so irrelevant that in a sports market just south, with two Pac-12 schools barely mentions their existence, by the time you get to CA, and then National, they're barely a blip on the radar.

It's 5 hours South in decent weather with 3 other BCS schools significantly closer, but I think we're both correct to an extent as it's not black & white. Vancouver may be in WA, but it's an Oregon market. You go elsewhere in the state and it's very Husky/Cougar centric. You go in eastern WA and it's heavily in favor of WSU.

Regarding the topic, considering how prestige is used in the game, I don't think any BCS school should be lower than a 2*. There is growing buzz over where Leach is taking Wazzu, but EA is lazy and they see WSU with the 3rd worst winning percentage over the last 5 years.

Bottom Line is all the other 2* teams have at least made a bowl game in the last 2 years. The criteria isn't that high. When WSU makes a bowl game they will be given a 2* rating.

Washington State is (20-5) vs. Non AQ conference D-1 schools since the 2001-2002 Season and 7-0 vs. D-2 schools

Your making up a bunch of what if they played this team this season scenarios, the stats I posted are FACTS

Houston and UCF aren't playing Oregon, USC, Stanford, and UCLA every year either

Maybe you should do your research

That;s not really relevant, his point was WSU is nowhere near as good as seeral non-AQ squads, and would not easily win the non-AQs.

WSU would likely struggle beat Boise, Houston (2 seasons ago), BYU, TCU, NIU, and the like.
