The conversations are gone. But for the last couple of years, I always buttoned through the little quips in the phone calls, so I don't miss them. Recruiting is less tedious and involves more strategy, but yes, I guess it does lack a little personality

If recruiting is big for you then 13 is much better, more control but does take time. If your more of a quick hitter get in and get out guy then 14 is better for you, not much to do this year just assign points and see what happens. I realize they wanted to change things up it just doesnt work for me personally.

This year is so much better. Last year I couldn't play more than a game or two in a row cause recruiting took 30 to do each time. Play 2 games and spend 1 hour recruiting. Now I can play games and only need to check the board and adjust. Makes it feel like far less of a chore.

Week 3 of my dynasty and the #1 RB has no offers. Gonna swoop in unchallenged with SMU.

Not much has changed.

Maybe next gen they will have "grade issue" guys who might not qualify. So that would be not as a shocker. If it were me, I would recruit him, if I got him I would flip a coin. 50/50 odds he qualifies. If I pick wrong I would cut him. Adds a little bit of realism to it to take some of that edge of NCAA letting you down.

Better or worse than previous years is a matter of taste, but in the end, IMO there needs to be realistic results to make the game viable, else we have to house-rule recruiting like we do with sliders, money plays etc. I just read a post by a gamer who is OC in his first year at Army and claims he's number one on the top two players in the country. That is not encouraging for anyone looking for realism.
